HIGHLY COMMITTED

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

I am working as Professor  for five years.Although this  profession is not really my first choice when I graduated  in High School. It was my mom who encouraged me to take up teaching. At first I was a little bit hesitant of the idea but as the days went by i just decided to enrolled the course and finished it.

I found out that  being a teacher, I am  supposed to be  highly committed to the educational success of my  students; perceived themselves as instructional innovators utilising new learning theories and instructional philosophies to guide their practise; continued to be involved in professional development activities, including participation in small-group support networks; had a strong, demonstrated commitment to school-home communication and felt that they had the autonomy to create or change the instruction and curriculum in their classrooms, even if they did not follow the district’s guidelines to the letter. Its a great honour that a teacher is the one who impart EDUCATION to the students.Teaching and nurturing them to be a better citizen in the society.
I have the  opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people like how teachers made an impact on me.  Everyone deserves a good education and I wanted to be a part of that. Now I am pretty sure that this is what I have wanted to do my entire life.  Through the past ten years of schooling, I have had many teachers that have influenced my outlook on EDUCATION.  There have been instances where I have had the opportunity of having unbelievable teachers that pushed me not only above and beyond my academic limits, but helped me believe in myself and look forward to learning.
